Yesterday I told you about how I structure my weeks while keeping them flexible.

Part of that is that while I want to do the same things every day…

I don’t try to get myself to do them at the same time or in the same order.

That’s knowing my strengths, baby.

Instead of time blocking specific hours to specific tasks, I pick out what I want to do and for how long, then use energy management throughout the day to handle each as I’m able.

Here are the things I aim to do every day:

  • Morning routine where I eat, journal, and prioritize for the day
  • More than 2 but less than 4 hours of deep work on content planning and creation
  • Content remixing block to promote, refresh, and remix content
  • Productivity power hour to complete all admin and communication
  • Community block where I batch reply to social media and membership mentions, browse the feeds, and other social catchup
  • 30-60 minutes working my way through a course or program or reviewing notes from one I’ve already done
  • About an hour of reading (split between 2-3 sessions)
  • About an hour of content consumption
  • A 1-2 hour nap if I slept less than 7 hours at night
  • An hour of movement broken up into small activity breaks

That’s about 10 hours of activity, both “work” and “rest” related. And that still leaves several hours per day of blank space for whatever else I need to do.

And while I reuse the same building blocks each day, they rarely form the same structure twice.
