Let's get you off the constant content treadmill and started with content remixing

Here’s how we can build your business a minimalist content marketing program.

You're no content marketing newbie.

In fact, you've been creating content for a hot minute.

But now, that's EXACTLY your problem.

Because you upped the speed on that content treadmill of yours too fast, and now you can't keep up with the cardio.

You and your team are overwhelmed and burnt out trying to keep up with new content creation, PLUS promote and maintain all the content you’ve already created months and years ago.

You know the content's still good - or could be...

You know you could update, optimize, and repurpose things.

But it keeps falling through the cracks since you’re so busy pumping out more content.

Meanwhile, all the content you’ve created in the past is just sitting in your archives going stale, earning less traffic and fewer conversions each month.

With your to-do list as a marketer constantly getting longer, it's no wonder you’re never far from burnout.

Let’s shorten that to-do list of yours with The Content Remix Method so you can hop off the content treadmill and start getting more success from less content.

About the Content Remixing Process

Content remixing is my energy-conserving method of content marketing that focuses on three rules:

content strategy

Rule 1:

Decide how much content you really need to meet your business goals.

content creation

Rule 2:

Create *just* as much content as you need. Then let it work.

content repurposing

Rule 3:

Prioritize remixing and remastering your greatest hits (like any good pop star would).

And generally, a full content remixing project has five steps (but our work together could zero in on whichever step is your biggest problem):

  1. Nail down your goals and priorities to make sure your content marketing aligns with the rest of your business
  2. Take stock of what you’ve already got with a content audit
  3. Prioritize your best content remixing opportunities
  4. Create a new content marketing calendar (your new album’s tracklist) and workflow (production process)
  5. Rock your remixing 🤘

And using The Content Remix Method, your content works smarter, your sales get consistent, and your burnout goes buh-bye!

Sounds good, right?

Well, there are a few ways we can work together, depending on which parts of the content remixing process you need most.

Here are the different ways we can work together:

Content Strategy Session

A strategy session can be either a 1-hour call or asynchronous chat to zoom in on solving one specific content problem in your business right now.

This is perfect for:

  • Working out next quarter's content plan
  • Figuring out what content to prioritize repurposing
  • Brainstorming ways to repurpose content for a launch

Cost: $400

Availability: 2 per month

One-Off Content Repurposing Project

If you want to do something like...

  • Refresh a big batch of old blog posts
  • Turn your past videos or podcasts into long-form blog posts
  • Repurpose your best blog posts into an evergreen, automated email sequence
  • Create short-form video clips from your long-form content
  • Audit your content archive and prioritize repurposing opportunities

Then we can work together on a short-term basis to audit, prioritize, and repurpose your content to achieve the goal of your choice!

Cost: starting at $1000

Availability: 1 per quarter

Content Repurposing Retainer

If you want ongoing help with things like...

  • Turning your weekly YouTube video or podcast into blog, email, or social media content
  • Regularly refreshing your old blog content
  • Sending weekly emails when you don't create regular content anymore
  • Creating social media content based on your blog posts, emails, webinars, podcasts, or videos

Then we can work together on an ongoing basis where I'll handle defined remixing and repurposing tasks in your business.

Why remix your content with me?

Before starting my own business in 2017, I spent 7 years running content marketing, PR, and social media for tech startups, including a hypergrowth SaaS company.

And you know something about startups? They don't have a lot of time, team members, or money to dedicate to content marketing.

So the work was usually all on me.

think about it

And as a chronically ill human who needs her rest, I needed an approach to content marketing that got great results without taking all my time and energy.

Something that took advantage of the smartest shortcuts, the ones that *didn’t* cut quality.

And most importantly, an approach that took advantage of all the work I’d ALREADY done...the hundreds of pieces of content I (and other marketers at the company) had already created.

Pretty quickly, I learned how to get strategically lazy. And that combination of traits, when used for good and not evil, leads to ridiculous creativity and productivity. ⚡️

So I figured out a new system, and the 5-phase system for minimalist content marketing was born. These services each focus on different parts of that process, so we can focus on where you’re at.

And here's what marketers have to say after working with me...

Brittany is the content marketing OG.

When I started my career in content a few years ago, she was the one I learned so much from. It's no surprise we now nerd out about content every chance we get!

As a writer, I often get overwhelmed, both on strategic and creative side, which is why I took Brittany's content workshop. I loved it and have improved so much with it.

I still go back to it and the workbook whenever I need a boost in my client writing workflow!

I decided to really focus on community at the beginning of 2018. That involved showing up consistently and hiring help where I was struggling. Brittany has contributed a ton of amazing content and helped promote it.

We also use this content for a weekly newsletter as well as conversation starters in our Facebook group.

In 2018, CourseCraft's subscriptions more than doubled! Having Brittany on our team has been such a positive experience.

Got questions? I'm not a mindreader, but I know what you might be wondering...

“We’re just getting started with content marketing. How can you help?”

Content remixing is most needed when you have a lot of content created already, but that doesn’t mean it’s not helpful when you’re starting out. You're in a pretty lucky position, in fact!

By creating a minimalist content marketing strategy from the get-go, you can avoid the constant content overwhelm that burns out so many marketers like us.

The best option for newbies like you will be a strategy call for us to create a remix strategy for your business together.

"Can I hire you as a freelance writer?"

As of 2022, I'm not taking on projects that are primarily writing.

If any of the project types above require new content creation, I will take care of that for you. But to save my calendar space for those larger projects, I'm not taking on writing work right now.

“What if we have a solid content strategy and just need help catching up with it?”

Oh friend, I know how stressful it is to have 50 overdue tasks in your project management tool. And things like updating, optimizing, and repurposing always seem to be the ones that get pushed back.

This is exactly why I created the retainer service.
If you know what you need done, you can book my time and pass your to-do list off to me.

“Awesome! How soon can we start working on my minimalist content strategy?”

Depends on what you need. I keep ongoing slots on my calendar blocked off for strategy calls, so you shouldn't need to wait longer than 2 weeks.

With larger projects and ongoing retainers, we may not be able to start for up to a month.

Contact me to find out my current wait time for the service you're interested in.

“None of these seem quite right…”

That’s not a question, but I’ll allow it. 🙃

If the issue is budget, you can check out my
training & template shop to find DIY ways to get content help.

If you can't tell which option is best, fill out this interest form and we'll figure out the best way to work together.
